Joyce Lorraine (Arndt) Lindquist, 95, of Superior died Thursday 11/28/2019, at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Superior.

Joyce was born on October 8, 1924 in Hawkins Wisconsin to William and Agnes (Howard) Arndt. She married Vernon Lindquist on June 7, 1947. They enjoyed 62 years together. Vernon passed away on February 28, 2010.

Joyce graduated from Tripoli Wisconsin High School and attended college in Phillips and Superior Wisconsin.  She taught school for 6 years in rural Wisconsin schools, including one room school houses. She was also a children's librarian at the Superior public library for 13 years.

She and Vernon retired to their lake home in Gordon Wisconsin in 1983. They enjoyed the lake, gardening, and traveling the United States by car and bus tours. Joyce enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, reading, puzzles, playing cards and games, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially granddaughter Kristen.

Joyce is survived by a sister Donna Fields, Indianapolis In, two brothers Arnold, Janesville Wi, and Robert (Caroline), Green Bay Wi, a daughter Maureen Lynch of Pepin Wi, sons Wayne (Diane) Lisle Il, Kevin (Joella) Superior, and four grandchildren; Kristen, Kyle, Tim, and Nathan, plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Edna, Ruby, Pearl and June.

At Joyce's request, no public service will be held. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery alongside her husband.
