Judith Ann Johnson, 79, of South Range died on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Essentia St. Mary’s in Duluth.

Judy was born in Superior on October 30, 1946, the daughter of Thomas and June (Tharge) Barton. She graduated from Superior Central High School with the class of 1964.

In 1994, Judy married Douglas Johnson and they celebrated 28 years of marriage until his death in 2022.

Judy worked at various businesses in the food service industry. She enjoyed socializing with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, William Hilger; son in-law, Mark Booth; and brother in-law, William Jarchow.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Janice (Brett) Hilger-Anderson and Christine Booth; grandsons, Nicholas Olson and Alexnder Booth; sister, Lori Jarchow; and her beloved cat, Baby Girl.

A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be held on Thursday August 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at VIP Pizza,1201 Tower Ave, Superior.
