Judith A.
Azmitia
November 12, 1941 – February 12, 2025
Judith Ann Azmitia, 83, of Superior, died on February 12, 2025, at Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.
Judy was born in Superior on November 12, 1941, the daughter of Lois (Prior) and Robert Parker.
Judy retired from the US Postal Service after a lifetime of service, and her last appointment was that of Postmaster for the Lake Nebagamon post office.
She was a very active person. She always had a project or small business to occupy her time. Over the years, she has raised horses, and a variety of birds and dogs. At one time she owned a ceramic shop, sold jewelry, sold handcrafted bronze pendants and statues, and her last venture involved creating, making and selling Renaissance costumes that were ordered and shipped all over the nation. Judy then expanded to open Grandma Judy's Creations tailor shop where she repaired and tailored clothing for the local community. She stayed busy with her costumes and tailoring until 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffery Fujan; and grandson, Andrew Mertz.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Donna (Wayne) Stone, Dianna Kauther, and Rhonda Cyr; grandchildren, Cassie (Caley) Evans, Travis (Emily) Stone, Elden Field, and Dakota Fujan; and great grandchildren, Rowan and Alexis Evans, Ariahna and Merek Stone, and Vivienne Cyr.
Per Judy's wishes, no service will be held.
