Obituary

Judith A. Koski, lifelong Superior resident, died Sunday May 3, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospice in Duluth.

Judith was born in Superior on Aug 19, 1944 the daughter of Franklin "Tucker" and Virginia Hill.

She graduated from Superior Central High School. She had worked for Dr. Ronald K. Underdale for over 50 years and truly loved her job. She was a lifelong member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She married Duane Koski on May 22, 1965 and together they had a daughter Michelle.

Judy enjoyed gardening, crafts and the outdoors, She was a very creative writer whose poetry was published in Reflections From Tranquil Waters in 1981.Judy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering for the Detroit Red Wings, Green Bay Packers and Duke Basketball. Judy was also an animal lover who had a special fondness for cats.

Judy was a wonderful mother, daughter and friend. She had a tremendous heart, generous spirit, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Thomas Hill.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Michelle Koski of Superior; Duane Koski of Cloquet, Michelle's father; nieces and nephews, Jane (David) Worley, Amy (Jameel Abdur-Rafia) Hill, and Steve (Vicki) Hill; sister-in-law Bev (Tom) Donaldson; special friends, Kay, Kathy and Holly and many cousins.

Her memorial service will be on Thursday May 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden. Rev. David Schoessow, of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Susan Kamper and the staff of St. Luke's Hospice.
