Judith Rae "Judy" Rivord-Olson, 69, a lifelong resident of Superior, Wis., passed away unexpectedly on Tues., Jan. 27, 2015.
She was born Dec. 29, 1945 to Edna (Adams) and Harry Peterson.
Judy was a very caring and loving person to all that knew her. She enjoyed camping at the Flying Eagle Resort in Iron River, Wis. She had been very involved in Special Olympics and was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 606.
For 13 years she had been employed as a C. N. A. at the former Chaffey Nursing Home. She retired in 2011 after 13 years of employment with the Superior School District.
Surviving are her three children, Kim Flowers, Steven Rivord, and Ryan (Becki) Rivord all of Superior; nine grandchildren, Renee, Kyle, Tyler, Matthew, Devan, Dean, Payge, Ross, and Jack; two great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Olivia; a niece and nephew, David Rasmussen and Sandy (T.J.) Steffan; and a special cousin, June Kowalczak and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce E. Olson on Apr. 2, 2007; her former husband, D. Steven Rivord; a sister, Jan Rasmussen; and a nephew, Tim Rasmussen.
Visitation will be Mon., Feb. 2nd from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. hour of her funeral service in Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Pastor Sarah Kerkes officiating. Pallbearers will be her nine grandchildren. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
