Judith A. Wheeler, 81, of Superior and formerly of Ashland, died Thursday June 25, 2026, at New Perspective Senior Living in Superior.

Judith was born in Superior on August 3, 1944, the daughter of Howard and Elvina (Tappen) Geving.

She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse and Nursing Home Administrator for Ashland Health and Rehabilitation. Judy was a member of the Ashland Rotary Club and the American College of Health Care Administrators.

She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, reading, and Lake Superior. She also enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Most important to her was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Elvina and sister, Linda Startzel.

Judy is survived by her son, Stewart (Patty) Goldberg of Superior; granddaughters, Brittany (Garrett) of Foxboro and Brandie of Superior; great granddaughters, Avery and Sophie of Foxboro; brother, Robert Geving of Superior; and nephew, Steve Swanson of Tampa, Fl.

Following Judy’s wishes no public services will be held.
