Julie Marie Laberdie, 62, of Superior, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer, at St. Luke's Hospice in Duluth surrounded by her family.

Julie was born on February 8, 1956 the daughter of Otis and Dorothy Aney.

Her family was most important to her, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard Aney, and nephew Kenneth Aney.

Julie is survived by her fiance, Gary Jackson of Superior; daughter, Carissa (Tim) Peterson of Duluth; grandchildren, Kyle and Nicholas Walkowiak; her extended family and friends; and faithful companion, her dog Niko.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30 ^th , from 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Rev. Fr. Andrew P. Ricci, of Cathedral of Christ the King, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
