Katherine J. Falstad, 86, of Kansas City, MO and Lake Nebagamon, WI, died Thursday, July 9, 2020 at her cabin in Lake Nebagamon.

She was born August 3, 1933 in Duluth, MN, daughter of Myrtle (Bell) and Earl Wellington Young.

Katherine J. Young and Robert D. Falstad were united in marriage April 2, 1955.

Katherine loved language, reading and learning. She taught reading to adults with the Literacy Volunteers of America. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church and frequently volunteered at the church library. Both Katherine and her late husband, Robert enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband, Robert D. Falstad in 2019.

Survivors include her daughters, Kristin (Charley) Wooldridge, Sterling, VA, and Linda (Michael) Mather, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Melanie (Daniel) Toler and Rob Wooldridge; and great-grandchildren, Samantha and Ethan Toler.

Private family services will be held at the Lake Nebagamon Cemetery, Lake Nebagamon, WI.
