Kathryn 'Hank' W. McKenzie, 73, of Superior, formerly of Cusseta, GA, died peacefully Saturday, December 15, 2018, surrounded by her family at Essentia Health- St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

She was born in Buena Vista, GA, on December 23, 1944, the daughter of Lester L. Wooldridge and Julia J. Wooldridge.

Hank retired from Fort Benning, GA.  Prior to that, she had worked in her family's pharmacy for many years.

After retirement, she was a volunteer grandma in Solon Springs, WI, for Mrs. Willis' first grade class.  Hank enjoyed being outside in her flower garden. She was an avid piano and organ player and was a huge Braves fan.

Hank was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her children, Laura (Peter) Gamache of Solon Springs, WI, Julia McKenzie of Columbus, GA, and William (Tiffany) McKenzie of Germany; grandchildren, Jessica Reilly, Mia McKenzie, William McKenzie Jr., and Alivia McKenzie; brother, Larry (Connie) Wooldridge, Jr. of New Smyrna Beach, FL; sister, Judy (Flem) Smith of Americus, GA; nieces, Kelli Smith and Kathryn Brown; nephews, Jason Smith and Lester Wooldridge III; and many extended family.

Her visitation will be on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street.

Funeral service and burial will be held in Buena Vista, GA.
