Kazuko Kresch, 89, town of Minong, died Friday, April 22, 2022, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

She was born January 2, 1933, in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, Japan, daughter of Genmatsu Maeda and Mitsu Noguchi.

On October 18, 1961, Kazuko and George Kresch were united in marriage at the American Consulate in Sapporo, Japan.

Kazuko owned 2 family businesses, a restaurant in Wascott with her husband in 1977-1985 and another restaurant in Minong with her daughter, Patty from 1987-1992. She was known for her hard work ethics and high energy.  She enjoyed playing cards, feeding the birds and animals, flower gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Her family was always her top priority.  Even in her 80s, she enjoyed cooking meals for her children and husband.

Survivors include her husband, George; son, Michael Kresch, Eagan, MN; daughters, Patricia Kresch, Brentwood, TN, and Joanne Kresch, Minong, WI; granddaughter, Sarah Nicole Kresch, San Antonio, TX; sisters, Sueko Otsuki and Matsue Matsuo who are both in Japan.

Burial will be in the family lot at the Wascott Cemetery, Wascott, WI on Sunday, May 29,2022 at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to join our family.

A celebration of Kazuko's life will be held later this summer.
