Kenneth J. Adams, 71, of Superior, died peacefully at his residence on Saturday, December 20, 2014.
He was born August 7, 1943 in International Falls, MN, son of George and Helen (Breske) Adams.
Ken graduated from Little Fork-Big Falls High School in 1962 and from Rice Lake Welding School in 1973.
In 1963, in International Falls, Kenneth Adams and Myrna Pellinen were united in marriage. They moved to Superior in 1974.
He worked as a boilermaker and welder at Fraser Shipyard and later for Local # 647. After his "retirement" he enjoyed working various construction jobs with his sons and grandsons.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and an "occasional" trip to Black Bear, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren, whom he adored.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Bryce; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Myrna; sons, Kenneth, Brent (Charlene), Todd (Lori Closson), and Troy (Kelli); daughter, Lori (Mark North); 10 grandchildren, Sandi, Arin, Lori, Lacie, Kaitlyn, Erik, Karl, Kory, Kyle and Karly; 3 great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Cole and William; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; and many friends and extended family.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Reverend Phil Terrill officiating.
