Kenneth A. Fall, 69, of Superior, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 17, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospice in Duluth, following a 21 year courageous battle with heart disease and fought cancer with a positive attitude and determination for almost two years.
He was born in Detroit, MI, on September 25, 1947, the son of Arthur and Eleanore Fall.
Ken worked for many years at the Burlington Northern Railroad as special agent/chief of police.
He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, where he worked as secretary and helped with the bulletins, newsletter, youth group, and mentor for over 12 years. He was also a volunteer for the Douglas County Health Department.
Ken enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and photography. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and all Michigan sports fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jim Fall.
Ken is survived by his wife, Renada; daughters, Michelle (Donald) Thomas of Oswego, IL, Kimberly Blume of Superior, and Nicole (Jason) Hansen of Superior; son, Tony (Karen) Fall of Somonauk, IL; grandchildren, Adam, Breanna, Tiffany, Kylee, Makayla, Tayler, Ashlee, Brian, and Jaxon; great-grandchildren, Kaydence and Kolton; sister, Judie (Robert) Lasser of Hudson, OH; sister-in-law, Rosalie Fall of Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law and special friend, Ron Kruse of Aurora, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. celebration of life service Saturday, September 23, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Pastor Sarah Kerkes will officiate.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Ken's name to the Douglas County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
