Kenneth J. Young, 56, of Duluth, died Saturday October 16, 2021, in Superior.

Ken was born December 23, 1964, in Superior, son of Bonnie Jean (Smith) and Kenneth Charles Young.

Ken was a self-employed scrapper and carpenter.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle who loved his children more than anything.  He was an artist, avid Packer fan, enjoyed the outdoors and had been quite the hunter in his earlier years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and sister, Dawn Soderlund.

Survivors include his children, Kameron (Katie) Young, Superior, Karsen (Jaime) Young, South Range, Kendra Young, Superior, and Kenneth Young, Jr., Duluth; grandson, Nikolai Young, South Range; sisters, Laura Heinzen, Sugar Land, TX, and Carole (Mike) Moss, Lake Nebagamon; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  He is also survived by former wife and good friend, Jen Bakken.

Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19 ^th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.  A celebration of life will be held at Downs Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 9 ^th , from Noon to 2 p.m.
