Kent was a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, In-Law, Pet Owner, Friend, Employee, and he was so much more. For those of us who had the good fortune to know him and have him as part of our lives, he was a renaissance man.

He was an extra ordinary artist whose keen eye saw beauty in things most of us missed; he was then able to put those images on paper and canvas. His love of art and his wonderful mind allowed him to excel at his chosen field of Advertising. His amazing expressive face and self-deprecating sense of humor was highlighted during the time he played the role of Harvey Youme. We were all blessed with many occasions to smile while in his company.

There were many other things that Kent did, helping his wife (Jodie) with their beautiful yard and flowers, babysitting their grandchildren, supporting Jodie's parents during their illnesses and dementia. All this was done with his sense of humor and unwavering strength, ever ready to help.

These are only a few of the things but one that is most important is his love for his family. He was by Jodie's side while they dealt with their son's (Shane) frightening childhood illness. He has helped Jodie though numerous health problems with the dedication of a man who truly understood "through sickness and health". When he was on the receiving end for his own medical issues, he appreciated all that Jodie and Shane did for him. Kent was so proud of Jodie and Shane; he often spoke with great pride in their achievements. But nothing he said or did for them could compare to his love for his grandchildren (McKenna and Logan). He would go to any length to entertain and bring happiness to McKenna. Tea parties, dressing up, playing with dolls, reading stories in his animated funny voices were added to the list of things he has done for love. Each and every one of the times he shared with McKenna added to his joy. He was so looking forward to his time with Logan, the times he would share with the "little guy".

He knows how we cared and loved him and we know how he loved us because he showed it, in every deed, in every word, in every funny face, in every joke and in every hug.
God speed Kent and until we meet again, just try to behave.
