Kristine Marie Ewton, 83, of Superior passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 at Twin Ports Health Services.

Kristine was born in Ashland, WI on September 11, 1936 to Albert and Ellen Johnson.

Kris was a graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing in Duluth and worked as an R.N. at hospitals in Hawaii and California. She was also employed by M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas for 30 years, working as a Radiotherapy Technologist.

After her retirement, Kris resided with her husband of 40 years, James Ewton, in Crossville, Tennessee. Kris was a master gardener and presided as a judge for many flower exhibit shows both in Texas and Tennessee. She also enjoyed traveling and sail boating with her husband and friends and did volunteer work at a hospital in Crossville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, and brother Conrad.

Kris is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and Keith Hauswirth of Superior; nephews, Scott, Michael, Andrew, and Steve Hauswirth; and several great nephews and nieces.

Kris will be remembered as a kind and gracious lady and will be missed by all who knew her.

A private family gathering in her honor will take place at a future date.
