Larry Charles Block, 58 of Minong, WI passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 with his family by his side.

He was born in Two Harbors, MN to Harold "Buck" and Sheila (Rein) Block.  Larry graduated from Northwood High School in 1983, where he enjoyed wrestling, weightlifting, football, and baseball.

He started his own business and was the owner of Northern Lakes Construction and Seamless Gutters.

Larry enjoyed spending his free time coaching his son in little league and Babe Ruth baseball.  He was his kid's biggest supporter in sports and never missed a game.  Larry also enjoyed his classic cars, bar league softball, rock concerts, and trips to Fort Myers, FL.  He got the most joy from spending time with his children.  Taking them out to dinner, driving up the North Shore to visit his old stomping grounds and making memories when they would go on road trips together.

Larry was an avid Viking fan until the end and was able to watch them lose one last time.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold "Buck" and Shelia Block, his brother, Mike Block and his nephew, Benny Block.

Larry is survived by his three children, Amber, Nicole, and Kacey Block; his former spouse and friend, Georgie Oleson; his siblings, Micki (Chuck) DeMar, James (Beth) Block; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and his especially special aunt, Cheryl Smith.

We would like to acknowledge his longtime friend, Leslie Budisalovich and thank her for everything she did for Larry.

A Celebration of Life for Larry will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mooney Ballpark in Gordon, WI.  The family asks in honor of Larry's love of classic cars, please drive your classic car if you are able.
