Larry E. Larson, 68, of Solon Springs, WI and formerly of Hudson, WI, went to heaven on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN.

Larry was born in Hudson on March 18, 1955, the son of Gordon and Lorraine (Wilson) Larson.

He graduated from New Richmond High School with the class of 1973.

Larry was a master carpenter and worked with various companies over the years. He also served in many roles within the church throughout his life. He had a deep faith that was evident in the way in which he lived his life.

Larry's infectious smile, contagious laughter, and zest for life brought joy to everyone he came in contact with. Larry was willing to strike up conversation with anyone he encountered, quickly turning a stranger into a friend. He was known for his youthful mindset, living by the mantra "You have no choice but to get older, but you never have to grow up." He was notorious for telling "dad-jokes," although those that knew him eventually grew to love them. Larry was also an avid musician, he had an immense love for music, whether it be writing his own, performing karaoke, or simply appreciating the music of others, particularly rock & roll.

Larry was a family man through and through; never failing to express his love for his kids, grandkids, and more recently, great grandchildren. He had a deep adoration for his wife Erin; he often marveled that she made him feel like a teenager in love again. Larry lived a bountiful life, positively impacting all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His love, energy, and charm will be deeply missed by all.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Erin; children, Jeremy (Alicia) Larson, Aaron Larson, and Elissa (Damian Souder) Larson; grandchildren, Sam (Breanna), Kasey (Rhett Steffen), Peyton, Michael, Brandon, Aaron, Brandon (Reanna), Shawna, Brooke, and Jenessa; great grandchildren, Kayden, Isabella, Greyson, Westley, Marianna, and Grace; siblings, Cliff Larson, Patsy (Joe) Wilburn, Wayne (Karen) Larson, Mark (Linda) Larson, Danny Larson, Lenny Larson, Cindy (Brad) Cameron, and Julie (Mike Olson) Newville. Larry is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13th from Noon until the 1:00 p.m. memorial service at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 11405 S 1st St. W, Solon Springs, WI 54873.

A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held in Hudson on Saturday, January 27th beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Big Guy's BBQ, 1237 WI-35, Hudson, WI 54016

Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery Hawthorne at a later date.
