February 21, 1947 – November 22, 2023
Larry D. Price, 76, of Superior, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.
Larry was born in Cloquet, MN on Feb. 21, 1947, the son of Anthony and Rose (Unulock) Price. He graduated from Cathedral High School with the class of 1965.
He served his country in the US Army for 3 years and 8 months. Larry spent 18 months in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star.
Following his service, he worked as a machinist for many years at Louis Kemp Seafood Company. Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed making sausage and playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon; and sisters, Jean Doolittle and Cathi Cosgrove.
Larry is survived by his son, Anthony Price of Superior; daughter, Elizabeth Thorp; brother, Robert (Celia) Price of Saginaw, MN; and nieces and nephews, Diane, Susan, Alan, Matthew, Jennifer, John, Maureen, Michael, and Megan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of Christ the King Church with Fr. Andrew Ricci as Celebrant.
Burial with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29th at 10:00 a.m. at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Solvay Hospice House for their care of Larry.
