Lawrence G. Syring, 87, lifelong resident of Superior, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his residence.
Lawrence was born on April 13, 1927 in Superior the son of Carl and Clara Syring, Sr.
He had served his country during WII in the Navy. Lawrence worked for Head of the Lakes Electric Cooperative for 45 years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He built three homes and three hunting cabins. Lawrence was an avid vegetable gardener and also enjoyed berry picking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy on April 4, 1998; brothers, Elroy 'Bud' Syring and Marshall Syring; and a sister, Doris Meinke.
Lawrence is survived by his son, Greg (Barb) Syring, granddaughters, Holly and Heather Syring; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Kaiden and Braiden Sullivan, Evan Simone and Rylan Lawrence Williams; a brother, Carl Syring and sisters, Leone Syring and Janet Ohvall all of Superior.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00pm with a time of remembrance at 12:45 on Fri. April 17th at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
