Obituary

Lennis L Burt 88, of Foxboro died Saturday October 18, 2014 in Middle River Health & Rehab.

He was born August 3, 1926 in Cadotte Wisc..

He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a carpenter for various contractors and was also self- employed carpenter. Lennis was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed watching the bears and raccoons which came to the bird feeders, he would rather watch the wildlife instead of hunt them.

Lennis was a member of Local # 839 in Des Plaines Ill. And a member of the American Legion post # 435.

He is survived by his wife Viola, three daughters; Sandra (Greg) Shaul of South Range, Laree Lewis of Bellevue Wash and Eileen (Jim ) Kapelos of Washington State, a son Leonard of Foxboro. Eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. A sister, Lois Vavra of Chippewa Falls Wisc.

He was preceded in death by a son Lennis II and a sister Ione Witt.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 in Downs Funeral Home 19th & Ogden with Rev. Greg Gullicksrud officiating.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 until the time of service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by Richard I Bong post#435 Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Patrick, Gregory and Greg Shaul and Matt Alholm.
