Obituary

Leo L. "Skip/Lucky" Schier, 77, of Superior, Wis., died Thurs., Feb. 6, 2014.

He was born Mar. 11, 1936 in Beloit, Wis. to Lola (Davis) and Andrew Schier, and was raised on a farm in Phillips Wis.

Leo went to work at the age of sixteen in Rockford Ill. He moved to Superior in 1960, and worked at Westman Auto Body, Devinck Auto Body and the Chicago Northwestern Railroad and retired from the Union Pacific railroad.

Leo enjoyed playing cards, guitar and fishing and time spent with family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Joyce, oldest daughter Susan Lorraine, sons, Leo Andrew and Larry Dale and a brother Myron.

He is survived by two daughters, Terry (Dave) Lambert of Superior and Michelle (Tom) Kahler of Cherry Valley, Ill.; two sons, Leroy (Rose) Schier of South Range, Wis. and Lyle (Debbie) Schier of Creswell, Ore five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.; and two sisters, Lois (Leonard) Gehl of Seneca, Ill. and Ruth Lawrence of Brookfield Wis.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, at Zion Lutheran Church at 11:00 with Rev. H. Duane Aslyn officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
