Leola M. Beckwell, 82, of Superior, died Friday, February 7, 2025, at her residence with her son John by her side.

Leola was born on August 22, 1942, the daughter of John and Margaret (St. George) Rutkowski.

She was a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. She enjoyed traveling, especially on trips organized by the tribe with her son, John.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin on April 30, 2023; her sisters, Donna Pitoscia, Janice Rochon, Phyllis Wick, and Karen McGrath; and her brothers, Bernard St. George, Steven Rutkowski, and Dick Rutkowski.

Leola is survived by her children, Mary (Matt) Brown, Dale (Linda) Beckwell, John Beckwell all of Superior; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Gustafson and Ruthann Borghwart; brother, Albert Rutkowski; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Following Leola's wishes, no services will be held.
