Leonard J. Johnson, 79, of Superior, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospice in Duluth.

He was born in Superior on December 17, 1936, the son of Leonard and Edna (Kettleson) Johnson.

Leonard graduated from Superior Central High School, class of 1955.  He enlisted in the Army and served in Korea and Vietnam.  After his discharge, he worked in Superior, Seattle, WA, and in the Twin Cities.  He returned to Superior upon his retirement.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Edna Johnson.

Leonard is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Neil) Liljander of Eau Claire, WI, Kay (Juel) Staven of Superior, Joyce Sutton of Clarksville, MO, and Linda (Mike) Sharp of Foxboro; brothers, Tom (Linda) Johnson of Foxboro, and Jerry Johnson of Superior; and many nieces and nephews.

Following Leonards' wishes, no services will be held.
