Leslie G. Boustead, 86, of Foxboro, died Monday, December 22, 2014, at Golden Living Center, Superior.
He was born July 26, 1928 in Renville, Minnesota, son of Donald and Sadie (Kirk) Boustead.
On July 2, 1951, in Carlton, Minnesota, Bonna Scott and Leslie Boustead were united in marriage.
Les honorably served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on mechanical projects.
His work history included crane operator and mechanic for various construction firms, logging and farming.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Patti; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Bonna; daughter, Kathy King, Warroad, MN; sons, Wayne (Debbie), Foxboro, Scott (Roxanne), Superior, Phillip (Georgia), Foxboro, and Neil Boustead, Foxboro; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Kaseburg, Seattle, WA; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, Superior. Following the service everyone is invited to a luncheon at the church.
The committal service will follow the luncheon and is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Summit Cemetery, with military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Boustead, Jason Boustead, Bruce Burger, Leroy Burger, Jason Gallaway and Michael Knight.
