Leslie 'Les' E. Buchanan, 88, of Superior, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Superior Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Superior on January 2, 1930, the son of Iver O.  and Taimi Buchanan.

Les married Jean Pellman in July 1957 and they celebrated 61 years of marriage together.

He was the owner and operator of Superior Redi-Mix for 20 years. Les enjoyed bowling, stock car racing and driving, and football.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, James 'Jimmy' McMillan; brother, Kenny Buchanan; and sister, Alice Rappley.

Les is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Leslie Jean 'Rusty' (Gary Goodin) Buchanan; grandchild, Billy Kimmes; brother, Larry Buchanan; and sister, Evelyn Buchanan

His visitation will be on Tuesday, July 17 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th Street.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
