Lester M. Webster, 88, of Superior, died Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Superior Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Superior.
He was born June 20, 1927 in Frederic, WI, son of Cecil and Vivian (Reed) Webster.
On December 1, 1950, in Superior, Dorothy M. Claxton and Lester M. Webster were united in marriage.
Les worked many jobs during his life, however, his favorite was farming. Some of the other jobs included American Motors, Cutler-Magner, auto parts delivery and small engine repair.
Some of his hobbies were gardening and latch hook. He volunteered with 4-H and was a foster-grandparent at Great Lakes Elementary School for many years.
He was a member of Country Peace Presbyterian Church, Superior Moose Lodge #606 and Eagles #80.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, James; daughter, Pamela; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dorothy; daughter, Kathy Erickson, Superior; granddaughters, Lori (Gerry Steffer) Stavang, Cloquet, MN, and Becki (Ryan) Rivord, Superior; great-grandchildren, Eric, Garrett, Matthew, Payge, Ross and Jack; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Country Peace Presbyterian Church, Superior, with Reverend Richard Blood officiating.
The family invites everyone to a luncheon at the church, immediately following the service.
Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, at a later date.
