Linda Lois (Hoeffling) Staxrude, 67, of LaCrosse, WI, died October 29, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She died at her home with her family nearby.

Linda was born on January 22, 1950 in Superior, WI to Eugene and Mary Hoeffling of Iron River, WI and Queen Valley, AZ. She was a 1968 graduate of Northwestern High School.

She married Mike Staxrude on December 11, 1970 in Barnum, MN, and moved to LaCrosse, WI where she worked at Bethany St. Joseph's Nursing Home for over 39 years.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Michael; daughter, Lori Bean; stepson, Tom Staxrude; grandchildren, Joshua Staxrude, Ariana Bean, Mason Bean and China Bean;  great-grandchildren, Alizabeth Staxrude, Cassidy Staxrude and Riley Staxrude; parents; and brothers, Brian (Pat) Hoeffling, Andover, MN, Mike (Rhoda) Hoeffling, Maple, WI, Dan (Sue) Hoeffling, Kaleen, TX, and Darrell (Gloria) Hoeffling, Queen Valley, AZ.

An inurnment service will be held at the St. Michael's Cemetery in Iron River, Monday, July 15, at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Mark A. Holmes will officiate. Friends and family are invited to attend.
