Linda Louise McGonegal, 70, of Superior, died Sunday, July 08, 2018, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's, Duluth.

She was born September 10, 1947 in Superior to E. Louise (Mackyol) and Finley K. Stalvig, Sr., and was a lifelong Superior resident.

Linda graduated from the former Superior Central High School in 1965.  She had been employed by the Daily Telegram editorial department for more than 42 years, retiring April 22, 2008.

She was a member of Superior Printing, Publishing & Media Workers Sector Local #163/14551.

Linda and her husband, Lee G., were married August 31, 1979 in Carlton, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her father, Finley K. Stalvig, Sr.; her mother, E. Louise Stalvig; a sister, Adelaide "Ann" Saari; a brother, Finley K. Stalvig, Jr.; a nephew, Jerikk Todd (nee Todd Stalvig); and a great-grandnephew, Watson Rowan.

Surviving are her husband, Lee; a brother, Frederick M. (Rita) Stalvig, Foxboro; a nephew, Josh (Kelly) Stalvig, Andover; nieces, including Tamara (Ernesto) Gutierrez, Superior, Shannon (Jason) Peterson, Maple, and Danielle Malkovich, Colorado Springs; and many grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces.

At her request, no funeral will be held.  Private interment was held at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, on Saturday, July 14, 2018.
