Obituary

Lorraine A. Gambeski, 91, lifelong resident of Superior, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Superior Rehabilitation Center.

Lorraine was born on Sept. 21, 1926 the daughter of Maurice and Margaret O'Connell.

She had worked as a credit manager for the Superior Telegram for many years. She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King, Superior-Douglas County Chamber Ambassadors, National Association of Credit Managers, Superior Musicians Union, CWA #204, The Bill G. Combo Dance Band for over 40 years and was an organist for UWS Hockey games, weddings, and funerals.

Lorraine loved music especially playing the organ. She was a computer whiz and a Facebook researcher. She enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, going to the Casino, and her many trips to the Bonita Beach Club in Florida. Most important to her was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, and brother Gerald O'Connell.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Sheree (Dan Vaught) Christian of Duluth; grandchildren, Alyssa Christian of San Diego and Tyler (Heidi) Christian of Madison.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 14, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of Christ the King Church. Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
