Lorraine 'Babe' A. La Joie, 90, of Superior, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

Lorraine was born in Superior on March 23, 1930 the daughter of Caesar and Margaret 'Muggs' (Haeck) Van Damme. She married Robert La Joie on Oct. 20, 1962 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Babe was a member of the Belgium Club and enjoyed watching TV and playing with her son's dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brothers, Robert and William Van Damme; and sister, Virginia 'Sis' Moore.

Babe is survived by her sons, Steven and David La Joie, both of Superior and step siblings, George and Mary.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10 ^th from 11:00 a.m. until the Noon funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Rev. Fr. James Tobolski will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery at a later date.
