Lorraine Loretta (O'kash) Panyon, affectionally known as 'Kokie' passed away Friday November 23, 2018 in the wee hours of the morning moving on in her spiritual journey.  She was a lifelong Superior resident, born February 19, 1928.

Lorraine was a wonderful mother to her 3 children, a fantastic cook, and took great pride in keeping the house spick and span clean.  She was not afraid of hard work and took on the challenge of a part time job on top of being a mother, wife, and housekeeper.  She enjoyed playing smear and cribbage and was a keen solitaire player.

She had a way with style whether it be with the clothes she wore or the home she decorated with the money she saved working her part time job at Sears basement store during the late 60's and early 70's.

In her later years, she became a voracious reader devouring one or two mystery novels a week.  She also enjoyed playing a card and dice game with her 2 surviving children and long drives with her family, especially to the light house at Wisconsin point.

Lorraine is survived by her sister, Mary Campbell; her son, Joseph Panyon and her daughter, Nancy Panyon Fick; her special niece, Mary Rose Drinkwine; and a plethora of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicolas and Pearl O'Kash, her husband John Panyon, her daughter Marianne Marie Marquardt, her bothers Mike, George and Alex and her sisters, Millie, Sophie, Molly, Dorothy and Daisy.

The family sends out a special thank you to the staff of REM Centennial house for the wonderful care and friendship Lorraine received.

There will be a private family grave site service on Wednesday November 28 ^th . If desired donations may be made to the Douglas County Humane Society.
