Obituary

Louis E. Bergeron, 76, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, in his home.

Louis was born June 7, 1949, in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Elise (Page) and Arthur Bergeron.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. During his time in the service, Louis studied martial arts and he was proud to earn his black belt, an interest he continued throughout his life. He enjoyed watching boxing and MMA fights on television.

Louis was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. In the past he really enjoyed playing the drums, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He worked for many years as an over-the-road truck driver and was known as an excellent and dedicated driver.

In retirement, Louis found joy in cooking and was especially known for his Canadian meat pies. He was a generous man who cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Doris, Rita, Robert, Raymond, Edward, Arthur, Donald, and Paul.
Louis is survived by his daughters, Renee Bergeron, and Aimee Bergeron (Chris Doran); his former wife, Eleanor Bergeron; his grandchildren, Jada Guthrie, Leksie Guthrie, Maleeah Guthrie, and Robert L. Guthrie; his sisters, Leona (Raymond) and Eva; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, 4777 Hwy 53, Saginaw, MN 55779. Military honors accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard.
