Obituary

Louis W. Meador, Jr., 73, of Superior, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Louis "Bill," was born on March 10, 1948, in Natchez, Mississippi, the son of Louis and Josephine (Murphy) Meador, Sr.

He served his country in the Navy and Army for over 22 years, a recipient of the Bronze Star.  Louis was deployed during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He was a Sheriff's Deputy for Jefferson Parish in Louisiana. He also sailed on the Great Lakes for 13 years with the Interlake Steamship Co.

Louis was an accomplished artist. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Louis is survived by his children, Tonya (John) Frye of Houston, Sean (Shannon) Lusk of New Orleans, Jason (Candice) Thompson of Wood River, IL, Robert (Stephanie) Meador of Foxboro, Jacob (Angie) Meador of Superior, and Sarah (Meador) of Houston; grandchildren, Rebekah (Andrew), Jesse (Maggie), EmaLee (Blake), Katie (Keiston), Jason, Tawny, Rachel, Brandon, Charles, Jacey, Corbin, Colton, Kayden, Landon, Gracie, Luci, Alex, Brooke, Spencer, Hank, Katie, Jonah, Jackson, Donovan, and Anderson; great grandchildren, Sofia, Bentley, Dazy, Natalie, Nolan, and Logan; sisters, Kathy (Ronnie) Brown, Rose (Oakland) Vidrine, and Agnes Lee; brother, Robert Meador; mother of his children, Faye Livangood; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Louis' Life will be held on Thursday, October 21st at 3:00 p.m. at United Presbyterian Church.

A private family interment will take place in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
