Lowell S. Yoder, 76, of Superior, died on Monday, July 17, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Lowell was born in Superior on Jan. 19, 1947, to Raymond and Elizabeth (Selleck) Yoder.

He worked for St. Lukes Hospital as a custodian for many years before retirement.

Lowell found joy in fishing with his son, Brian. He also enjoyed sports and was the coach for girls' basketball in the City of Superior. He was a kind soul. People around him felt loved and cared for by him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Erica Chapman; brother, David Yoder; sisters, Mary Yoder, Carol Berggren, Virginia Heytens, and Shirley Willoughby.

Lowell is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bonnie Yoder; son, Brian Yoder; brother, Don Yoder; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25th, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19th St., with Greg Vergamini as officiant. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Strom, Chris Cornelison, Robert Pfister, Charles Lindenberg, Dana Willloughby, and Brad Havron.
