Lucille J. Acker, 91, of Superior, died peacefully Monday, March 25, 2019 at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth with family by her side.

Lucille was born on Oct. 20, 1927 the daughter of Edward and Mona Isackson. She married Gail J. Acker on Dec. 31, 1955 and they celebrated 53 years of marriage until his death in 2008.

She enjoyed raising her children, going camping, and traveling all over the continental US in their camper. She also traveled to Hawaii and Europe. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; son-in-law, Terry Sturzenegger; and sisters, Francis Meteraud and Lorraine Nelson.

Lucille is survived by her daughters, Patricia Sturzenegger of Superior and Lori (Curt Oehlert) Uchytil of Mount Vernon, WA; sons, James (Anne Foslid) Acker of Golden Valley, MN and Brian (Karen) Acker of Villa Park, IL; grandchildren, Callie and Sara Sturzenegger, Jenna (Ryan) Robert, Elizabeth, Abigail, Brandon, Garrett, and Alyssa Acker; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Cassaundra, Greta and Emmett; sister, Mary (Clifford) Anderson; brother, Edward 'Butch' (Kathy) Isackson; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 29, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St., with Gary Banker officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Lucille has requested there be no flowers at "her party."
