Luella M. Day, 89, a longtime Foxboro resident, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 after a long courageous battle with kidney disease.

She was born on September 25, 1934 in Superior, WI to Leonard and Agnes (Wojciechowski) Moen.

Luella married the love of her life, Herbert Day, on August 25, 1956.  She was a homemaker who took pride in raising her children.  Luella adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandson.

She loved gardening, fishing, playing cards, games, working on crafts and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Jaquelyn Radzak and her brothers, Leonard, and Ronald Moen.

She is survived by her children, Gerald (Susan) Day of Superior, Randy (Brenda) Day of Superior, Tammy Leinweber of Superior, Bobbie (David) Radzak of Minong, Sherri (Dave) Langley of Mason, and April (Scott) Carlson of Poplar; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; her brothers, Robert Moen, and Dennis (Michelle) Moen; her sister, Carol (Ed) Hudacek; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Twin Ports Health Services and Fresenius Kidney Care for the kind and compassionate care they provided Luella.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Monday, November 27, 2023 at St. Williams Catholic Church, with Rev. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Interment for both Luella and Herbert will be at Summit Cemetery following the service.  Military honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435 in honor of Herbert.
