Luke Brian Mackie, 22, of Superior passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015.

Luke was born on May 16, 1993 in Duluth, MN the son of Brian and Stacy Mackie.

He attended Superior High School with the class of 2011. He had previously worked in maintenance and construction/remodeling projects.

He enjoyed playing his drums, rock concerts, and listening to music. Also enjoyed camping with his family, driving ATVs, the GoKart he and his dad built, and working on cars. Luke loved animals. He was interested in learning the history of WWII.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Henry Mackie and a special aunt, Cindy Salo.

Luke is survived by his parents, Brian and Stacy of Superior; a sister, Stephanie (Dewaine Forbragd) Mackie and her children, Savannah Jean and Skylar Jo; a brother, James (Joanie Cismoski) Lee and his children, Dylan and Dayne; maternal grandmother, Suzanne Salo and maternal grandfather, Ronald (Darla) Salo; paternal grandmother, Judy Kaye Mackie; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him unconditionally.

Visitation will begin on Friday Aug. 28, from 3:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. memorial service at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. Sarah Kerkes, pastor of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, will officiate. A luncheon will follow the service at Mike's Place, 1807 N 11th Street in Superior.
