Lynn R. Peterson, 71, of Superior, died Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Twin Ports Health Services, Superior.

He was born September 13, 1947, in Superior, son of Robert and Joyce (Webber) Peterson.

Lynn proudly served his country with the National Guard from 1965 to 1970.

His work history as a draftsman included Barko Hydrolics and BendTec.  For many years Lynn served as sexton at the Summit Cemetery in Foxboro.

1. S. military history was a major interest of his. Watching TV documentaries, reading and collecting military memorabilia were some of Lynn's priorities.

Lynn had a large financial and hourly interest in genealogy, and would spend considerable time on his computer researching his family tree. Cheering for the Green Bay Packers was something he also enjoyed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Robert E. Peterson.

Survivors include his sisters, Maureen Danielson, Superior, and Wendy Peterson, Wausau, WI; numerous cousins; and special friend and caregiver, Kim Gilbertson, Superior.

A private graveside service will be held this summer at Summit Cemetery, Foxboro, WI.

The family wants to thank Essentia Health- St. Mary's Hospice for their wonderful care of Lynn.
