Mae Alice Jacobson, 101, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at Essentia Miller Dwan Health Center in Duluth, MN.

She was born on Feb. 13, 1921, in Gackle, ND to Eli and Mable (Cooley) Lahti.

Mae graduated from Bayfield High School and St. Joseph's Hospital School of nursing.  She married Kenneth Duane Jacobson on April 26, 1941, in Ashland, WI and they moved to Superior in 1946.

Mae was employed as a nurse at St. Joseph's in Superior for 20 years and then with Eastend Clinic for 24 years retiring in 1983.

She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and WELCA, Scora Flora Garden Club, Associate Member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, The Bells, Ladies Elks, and its widows club.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth, her brother, Matthew Lahti, and her sister, Evelyn Dunn.

Survivors include her daughters, Delores (Dwane) Schultz and Donna (Michael) Clark; her sister, Patricia (Bob) Mitts, her six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
