Marcia Elizabeth (Haagensen) Erickson, age 82, of Rice Lake township, MN, died July 19, 2026, in her residence.

Marcia was born in Superior, WI on June 30, 1944, the daughter of Ruth Isabelle (Maniekee) and Erling Hjalmer Haagensen. She was raised on a farm in Hawthorne, WI. Marcia was a graduate of Northwestern High School, Maple, WI and attended the Superior Vocational School. She would marry Martin Edward Erickson on June 28, 1975, in Duluth, MN. Marcia had worked in a variety of jobs over 42 years. Her last job was in the mail room at St. Mary’s Hospital from 1992 to her retirement 2007.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin Edward in 2012 and her sister Lois in 1944.

Marcia is survived by her sister Arlene (Fred) Stecher; nephews Joseph (Kellie), David (Katy); her great niece Addison and great nephews Joseph V, Rowan and Thorsen and 6 cousins (Barbara Stecher, Susan Johnson, Carol Reasbeck, Marie Larson, Peter Raaflab and Nancy Horyza.

Memorials may be made to Animal Allies, Duluth.

Visitation will be on Friday July 31 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral Service to follow in the Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th Street, Superior. Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Duluth. Pallbearers will be Fred Stecher, Joe Stecher IV, David Stecher, Joe Stecher V, Joe Reasbeck IV and Sam Reasbeck.
