Margaret M. Carlson, 91, of Cloverland, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Lighthouse of Superior.

Margaret was born in Cloverland, Wis. on July 6, 1922 and grew up in Minneapolis the daughter of Carl and Olga Peterson.

She had been an LPN for local hospitals and had also cooked at the Cloverland School. She was a 4H leader and was a member of the community choir. Some of her hobbies included baking, reading and music. She was a finalist in the National Pillsbury Bake off three times. Margaret was very involved at the Cloverland Covenant Church volunteering as a Sunday School Teacher, pianist and vocalist.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene; a daughter-in-law, Hildegard "Hilda" Carlson; and her sisters and brothers.

She is survived by her two sons, Bruce Carlson of Superior and Lansing (Sally) Carlson of Stanley, Wis.; her grandchildren, Tera, Amanda, Melody and Erik; and a great-grandchild Emma.

Her funeral service will be held on Thurs. April 24, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cloverland Covenant Church. Rev. Charles Ells will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will be in the Cloverland Cemetery at a later date.
