Margaret M. Gilbertson, 77, of Oakdale, MN, died Thursday, September 21, 2023, in Oakdale.

Margaret was born in Duluth on June 24, 1946, the daughter of Walter and Agnes (Fudally) Benjamin.

She worked as a Supervisor for the Department of Administration and the Department of Human Services for the State of Minnesota. She was a member of the St. Paul Business and Professional Women.

Marge was a very kind and generous person. All during her illness she always kept a positive outlook. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and many, many friends. One of her favorite activities was to attend the State Fair with family and friends to listen to music, have her special Czech sausage and sunflower honey ice cream, and walk around. She loved to play mini golf with the grand kids. Marge was always on the go and traveled all over the country on many different trips, to visit family, look at a train out in the middle of nowhere, or to just plain have fun. Marge also loved to gamble, whether it be the ponies at Canterbury Downs, the Casinos, or using her secret system to pick numbers for Powerball. She will be greatly missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and brothers, Walt 'Sonny' Benjamin, and William 'Benji' Benjamin.

Marge is survived by her daughters, Shannon Gilbertson of Oakdale, Tracy (Danny) Sanchez of Apple Valley, MN; two grandchildren; sister, Angie (Dave) Rikkola of Superior; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and her special friend, Marv H. of New Brighton, MN.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 26th at Noon at Greenwood Cemetery in Superior.
