Marge Violet "Margie" Larsen, 84, of Superior, died unexpectedly Monday, July 21, 2014 at United Hospital, St. Paul, surrounded by loved ones
She was born March 28, 1930, in Lake Nebagamon, daughter of Gerald and Lillian (Williams) Lyons.
Margie worked with her husband, Gene, with various businesses they owned, was a homemaker and was booking agent for son Dan's band up until a few months ago.
Some of her interests included spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; listening to country music, especially her son's band; RFD TV on Friday and Saturday nights; watching old western movies; cooking; baking; flowers; and going out to eat.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Roger Larsen, in 2013; sons, Jerry and Steven; and brother, David Richard Lyons.
Survivors include her daughter, Marcie (Brad) Larsen Maxwell, Ellsworth, WI; sons, Michael Larsen, Superior, Richard (Jean) Larsen, Superior, Robert (Donna) Larsen, Lake Nebagamon, and Daniel (Kathy) Larsen, Lake Nebagamon; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jorgenson, Trego, WI; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
Following the cemetery service, everyone is then invited to V.I.P. for a pizza luncheon.
