Obituary

Margie Ann Peterson, 75, a lifelong resident of Superior, Wis. died Thursday, October 20, 2011 in Essentia Health – St. Mary's Hospice, Duluth, Minn.

Following her 1954 graduation from Superior Central High School she attended the Duluth Business University. After her graduation from DBU she worked for a Duluth law firm and later she worked for various twin ports businesses in their credit departments.

On May 18, 1963 in the Central Methodist Church she was united in marriage to Craig E. Peterson.

She had been very active in P. T. A. for a number of years. She was a member of the former Elk's Aux. to Lodge No. 403.

Margie is lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Craig; her son, Darin of Crystal, Minn.; a brother, Robert E. (Sylvia) Patterson of Superior; two sisters, Beverly (Curtis) Boeber of Crown Point, Ind. and Donna Scitowski of Warren, Mich.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bruce and Bonnie Peterson of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah (Herbert) and Francis J. Patterson; three brothers, Roy, Earl and Harold; a sister, Dorothy; and an infant sister, Grace.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. in Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church, Superior, on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Her memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Will Mowchan officiating. A private committal service will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, at a later date.

The family extends special thanks to the medical staff members of Essentia Health-St. Mary's Neurotrauma ICU and Hospice Units.
