Marie Susan Wessa, 71 of Superior, died Thursday May 25, 2023, at Twin Ports Health Services.

Marie was born in Milwaukee, WI on Sept. 10, 1951, the daughter of Wallace and MaryAnn (Volz) Wessa. She graduated from Catholic Memorial High in Waukesha, WI.

She loved crafting and going to craft fairs. She enjoyed putting together the bulletin boards at a local senior center, especially for holidays. Marie was a caregiver by nature, always helping people, and thinking of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Jeff Williams.

Marie is survived by her siblings, Mike (June) Wessa, Jim (Susan) Wessa, Patri Williams, Bob (Janice) Wessa, and Kathy (Larry) French; and 16 nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 2, at Noon at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
