Marilyn H. DeCaire, 88, of South Superior, WI, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Aspen Health Center.
Marilyn was born on February 7, 1937, to Helene (Mohr) and Fred Walberg in Superior, WI.
She was employed as a cashier with Walgreen's for many years until retiring in 1999. Marilyn and her husband Joe were the owner/operators of Charlie Brown's in Billings Park for about 10 years. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Women's Masters League at Landmark Lanes. She was also a youth bowling coach for several years. Marilyn loved traveling and visited family in California several times over the years and also made a few trips to Las Vegas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; her sisters, Eleanor, Evelyn, and Kathleen and her brother, Kenneth.
Survivors include her children, Lori (Rich) Schmitz and Mark DeCaire; her siblings, Donald (Hope) Walberg, Carolyn Lindberg, Marlene Lee, Roger (Linda) Walberg, Sharon (Ron) Widell, and Milt (Joann) Walberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at her residence, 1304 N 56th Street, Superior.
The family would like to thank Amanda, of Moments Hospice, for the wonderful care she and the rest of the staff provided for our mother. We would also like to thank the caring people of Aspen Health Center.
