Obituary

Marilyn Downey, 63, of Superior, Wis. entered into her Lord's presence from her home on October 8, 2014 after a brief illness.
She was born in Jamestown, N. D. on February 4, 1951 to George and Grace Johnson. She met her husband of 42 years, Lee, while attending St. Paul Bible College in Minnesota.

Marilyn was a homemaker and excellent cook, homeschooled all five of her children, plus taught 5th grade at Maranatha Academy one year, where she continued to substitute teach. She loved music and was a church pianist for over thirty years. She was an avid motorcycle rider ministering with her husband for over 30 years at motorcycle rallies in the United State and Canada. In the last few years she also enjoyed driving her Mustang to street rod shows winning a number of trophies in the process.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Rodney Johnson.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Lee; five children, Benjamin (Wendy) Downey, Rebecca (Rich) Johnsen, Zeb Downey, Reuben (Jessica) Downey, and Judah (Shelby) Downey; and eleven grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be held Mon., October 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Darrow Road Wesleyan Church. Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m. and continue until the service with a luncheon following.
