Marion L. Erickson, 89, lifelong Superior resident, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Marion was born in Superior on December 7, 1920 the daughter of Mabel (Kvisler) and Nels Erickson.
She was a Central High School graduate with the class of 1938. Throughout her life she had worked for Dr. Fred Johnson as a bookkeeper and assistant, the Erickson Fuel Company, she was manager of the Pierson Paint Store, and also worked for Kempinsky Glass Company and Superior Glass Inc.
Marion was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church where she was in the choir, Daughters of Concordia, Lois Circle and taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Setterstrom; and brothers, Roger and Clarence Erickson.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews; Carol (Gary) Banker of Superior, Arlene (Dennis) Brown of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jan Erickson of Stone Lake, Wis., Bonnie (Dennis) Krieger of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Donald (Deb) Setterstrom of Superior and Diane (Larry) Tewalt of Siren, Wis.; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Thurs. Sept. 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Robert Koenig and Lay Pastor Gary Banker co-officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Randy Ellison, Jaime Colburn, Tom O'Neill, Ed Lindegren, Russ Putnam and Craig Banker. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Colburn, Knute Pederson and George Austreng.
If desired, memorials in her name may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
