Marjorie M. Nelson, 86, of Superior, died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

Marjorie was born in Superior on Jan. 20, 1931 the daughter of James Harlan and Jeannette Romans.

She graduated from Superior East High School. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star.

Marjorie married Warren Nelson and they celebrated 66 years of marriage together. After raising their children Marjorie became a secretary for Riley Stoker, working with Warren. Warren's job took them all over the country and they had also visited all 50 states. Every place they settled down Marjorie would become involved in the local culture. She loved being around children and had a remarkable way with them. Marge loved to cook and bake; always having something homemade in the house for after school/work for her family.  She loved being social with friends and was blessed with many friendships across the country.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carole; and brothers, Myron, Russell, Robert, Dean and Jimmy.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Warren; children, Gary (Shielou) Nelson of Gibsonton, Florida, Bonnie (John) Nelson-Mucha of Newark, DE, and Timothy (Cindy) Nelson of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Cory, Kristen, Courtney, Casey, Nicklaus, and Ryan; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Tues. Mar. 28 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service at United Presbyterian Church. Rev. Joel Huenemann will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Summit Cemetery.
