Marjorie J. Olson, 88, of Superior, passed away peacefully Friday, September 13, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Villa Marina Health and Rehab.

She was born in Superior on Dec. 5, 1930 the daughter of Gordon and Lulu Hunter. She had worked at St. Francis Nursing Home for many years.

Marjorie was a loving mother to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a friend to many. She had the gift of being a great listener to anyone in need of comfort, never judgmental, always offering support and kindness, and was very generous. Some of her joys in life were sharing time with her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, and playing cards. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Olson; son, Fred Olson; her daughter, Debbie O'Neill; and siblings, Robert, Richard, Shirley, and George.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Lori Olson of Superior, Cathy (Mike) Barazi of Houston, Texas, Alan (Kim) Olson of Superior, Robin (Jeff) DeBruyne of Superior, and Jeff Olson of Eau Claire; 11 grandchildren, Donald, Patrick, Zaina, Ryah, Alissa, Kyle, Rachel, Brett, Drew, Matthew, and Mia; and 3 great-grandchildren, Colton, Lily and Noah.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19 ^th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St. Rev. Jenny Armstrong will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Villa Maria for their excellent care of Marjorie during her short stay.
